Kerala Reviews Progress of Special Electoral Roll Revision

In Kerala, Chief Electoral Officer Rathan U. Kelkar convened a meeting today in Thiruvananthapuram with representatives of major political parties to review the progress of the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls. CEO informed that enumeration forms have been distributed to all voters on the rolls, and 85 per cent of the filled-in forms have already been received. So far, 71.02 per cent of the forms have been uploaded.
 
All voters who have signed and submitted the enumeration forms will be included in the draft list. For those who were not part of the 2002 electoral rolls, Electoral Registration Officers will conduct verification and hold hearings, Mr Kelkar added. Representatives from CPI(M), Congress, Muslim League, BJP, CPI and other political parties attended the meeting.
