In Kerala, Chief Electoral Officer Dr Rathan U. Kelkar informed that the number of digitised forms in connection with the SIR has risen to 27,470,936, which accounts for 98.64% of the total forms distributed. He added that the number of uncollectable forms, including those related to absence, death, shifting of residence and other reasons, has increased to 2,342,294.
Dr Kelkar noted that this figure is not final, as several Booth Level Officers are yet to complete digitisation. The actual number is expected to be higher once all data is entered. Urging the public to cooperate, he appealed to those who have not yet returned their forms to fill them out and hand them over to their respective BLOs at the earliest.
