Mumbai/IBNS: Actress Kangana Ranauts portrayal of late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in upcoming film, Emergency, has already created a buzz on social media.

After much wait, Kangana on Tuesday announced the release date of the film.

The film, which is based on the 1975 Emergency that was declared by Gandhi, will hit the theatres on June 14.

Ranaut, who has also written the film, is co-producing Emergency, which is her second directorial film after Manikarnika.

The film features Anupam Kher as Jayaprakash Narayan, Shreyas Talpade as Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Milind Soman as Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw.

It was earlier scheduled to release in November 2023.
