India’s Kajal Dhochak has won her second consecutive U20 World Wrestling Championship title. She clinched the women’s 76-kilogram gold medal with a commanding 7-0 victory over China’s Jingru Sun in the final.
In the 72-kilogram category, India’s Tanu Sharma put up a determined fight against Japan’s Chisato Yoshida in the final but lost 3-5 to settle for silver. In the 62-kilogram category, Savita also won a silver medal after losing to Japan’s Sakura Onishi by technical superiority, 2-12. India’s Mansi Lather is in contention for gold in the 68-kilogram category. She will face China’s Chenling Song in the final.
In the 59-kilogram repechage round, Komal will take on Spain’s Rosa Molina Rodriguez.
India’s Greco-Roman wrestlers finished the competition without a medal. The men’s freestyle events will begin later today and conclude on Sunday.
