The Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council will commence the Phase-I Open Selection Trials from today to select the J&K contingent for the upcoming Khelo India Tribal Games 2026, scheduled to take place in Chhattisgarh.
Akashvani Jammu Correspondent reports that the trials are being held from today for tribal athletes in Football at Mini Stadium, Parade Ground, and for Athletics on January 24 at Jammu University. Trails for Hockey and Weightlifting are scheduled for tomorrow as well at K.K. Hakku Stadium and Jammu University, respectively. For Wrestling trials will be conducted on January 27 at Jammu University. Eligible participants must carry Domicile, Tribal Community Certificates, and Aadhaar Card at the time of trials.
