In Jammu and Kashmir, Kupwara District Election Office is organising a Mega Voter Awareness Programme (VAP) under Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) at Teetwal (LOC) on the banks of famous Kishanganga river on Wednesday.
Highlights of the mega event are Tiranga Rally from Country’s first Polling station ( 01-Seemari) to Teetwal and a scintillating cultural Show by Sufi Sensation, Youth icon, Kabul Bukhari and other local artists who will go live at Teetwal Ground from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM on May 8.
District Election Officer Kupwara, Ms. Ayushi Sudan is inviting all to attend this Voter Awareness programe at Teetwal and grace the occasion. This event is aimed to bring together first- time voters, students, community leaders, regional youth icons , local artists, general public besides District Administration functionaries to create awareness about the electoral process through voter edutainment and other innovative mass mobilization activities.
The Event at LoC will help in realising the local population, the value of their vote and importance of participation in elections on Poll day and combine the right to franchise with the spirit of patriotism, cultural diversity and civic responsibility.
