In Jharkhand, over one billion 47 crore have been seized from different parts of the state since the announcement of the assembly elections. Chief Electoral Officer K Ravi Kumar said 31 FIRs have been lodged for violation of model code of conduct. A joint operation is underway in bordering areas of UP, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Odisha to ensure trouble-free elections.
