Mumbai/IBNS: Jeff Bezos, the founder of e-commerce giant Amazon, lost more wealth in dollar terms in the last one year than Indian billionaires Mukesh Ambani and Gautam Adani combined, according to the 2023 M3M Hurun Global Rich List.

The US billionaire saw the biggest loss in wealthsome $70 billion, while Mukesh Ambani lost $21 billion, while Gautam Adani and his family lost $28 billion in personal wealth.

Elon Musk, the CEO of Twitter is second on the list of top wealth losers. The Tesla boss lost $48 billion in the last one year. His net worth stands at $157 billion.

Sergey Brin, who is a co-founder of Google, currently holds the third position in terms of net worth with an estimated value of $72 billion. However, it should be noted that he experienced a loss of $44 billion in the previous year.

Larry Page holds the fourth spot with a fortune worth $75 billion and a positive change in wealth of $41 billion.

Novelist and philanthropist MacKenzie Scotts wealth underwent a substantial change of $35 billion. The former wife of Jeff Bezos is now placed in fifth place on the list.

On the other hand, Gautam Adani and his family hold the sixth position with a net worth of $53 billion and a wealth change of $28 billion.

The Adani Groups business ranges from ports, airports, power generation and transmission, green energy, and other sectors.

Indian billionaires have been making impressive strides in the global arena, with a steady rise in their rankings on various rich lists, including the Hurun Global Rich List. In fact, India has now climbed to the sixth spot on the 2023 M3M Hurun Global Rich List for the number of billionaires who have increased their wealth by $1 billion or more in the past year.
