Two Japanese experts, led by Dr. Wataru Yamamoto, inspected the flood-affected forest lands under the Amarpur forest range on Wednesday.
The inspection covered areas in Khakchang and Taidu Lungfung, where Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) projects suffered significant damage due to floods and landslides following heavy August rains.
SDFO Amarpur Dipendra Jowaria, Amarpur Range Officer Shyamapada Roy, Ampi Range Officer Jagananda Tripura, and other officials accompanied the delegation during the visit. The inspection aimed to assess the extent of damage and explore possible recovery measures for the affected forest lands.
