Jadeja’s unbeaten 61 in vain as England defeat India by 22 runs

Ravindra Jadeja’s valiant effort went in vain as England narrowly defeated India by 22 runs on the fifth and final day of the third Test match of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy at Lord’s in London last night. Chasing a target of 193 runs set by the hosts, India were all out for 170 runs. Ravindra Jadeja remained unbeaten with 61 runs. For England, Jofra Archer and Ben Stokes scalped 3 wickets each.
 
Earlier, hosts England were bowled out for 192, as Washington Sundar scalped four wickets, while Mohammed Siraj and Jasprit Bumrah each picked 2 wickets.
 
Earlier in the first innings, India were bundled out for 387, equaling England’s first innings total of 387. Ben Stokes was adjudged the Player of the Match.
 
England is now leading the five-match Test series 2-1.
