In the Indian Super League (ISL) Football, Chennaiyin Football Club held league leaders Mohun Bagan Super Giant to a 0-0 draw at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Chennai last night. With the draw, Mohun Bagan remains top with 37 points from 17 games, while Chennaiyin are 10th with 18 points.

The match was tightly contested, with both teams failing to capitalize on scoring opportunities. Chennaiyin started strongly, with Wilmar Jordan Gil, Connor Shields, and Irfan Yadwad troubling the Mohun Bagan defence early. Mohun Bagan grew into the game as Greg Stewart and Asish Rai created chances, but Jordan’s effort was blocked by Tom Aldred, and Suhail Bhat’s strike hit the side netting.

In the second half, Dimitrios Petratos came close for Mohun Bagan, but his attempts lacked precision. Substitute Suhail Bhat missed a golden opportunity, while Chennaiyin’s Ryan Edwards failed to convert a late chance.

The defensive efforts from both sides ensured the points were shared. Chennaiyin next faces FC Goa on January 25, while Mohun Bagan hosts Bengaluru FC on January 27.

Today, Bengaluru FC will face Odisha FC at Sree Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru, the match will begin at 07:30 PM IST.
