In IPL Cricket, Punjab Kings defeated Kolkata Knight Riders by 8 wickets in Kolkata last night.

Chasing a target of 262 runs, Punjab achieved the score for the loss of two wickets in 18.4 overs. Jonny Bairstow was the top scorer for Punjab, remaining unbeaten at 108 runs. Shashank Singh made 68 runs.

Earlier, put into bat, Kolkata posted 261 for the loss of six wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Philip Salt was the top scorer for Kolkata with 75 runs followed by Sunil Narine with the kncok of 71 runs. Punjab won the toss and opted to bowl.
Jonny Bairstow was declared the Player of the match.

Kolkata Knight Riders are on second position in the points table, boasting five wins out of eight matches while Punjab Kings are at the eighth spot with three victories of nine matches.

Today, Delhi Capitals will take on Mumbai Indians in Delhi this afternoon. The match will start at 3.30 PM. In another match, Lucknow Super Giants will lock horns with the table toppers, Rajasthan Royals in Lucknow this evening. The match is scheduled to begin at 7.30 PM. Lucknow Super Giants are on fourth placed in the table.

Delhi Capitals are on sixth spot with four victories out of nine matches and Mumbai Indians are on ninth position with three wins in eight matches.
