In IPL Cricket, defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru defeated Gujarat Titans by five wickets at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru last night.
Chasing a target of 206 runs, Royal Challengers Bengaluru overhauled the total in 18.5 overs. The win was brilliantly set up by Virat Kohli’s 81 runs and Devdutt Padikkal’s quickfire 55 runs. The duo put together 115 runs for the third wicket to make it a one-sided chase. For Gujarat Titans, Rashid Khan took two wickets, while Mohammed Siraj, Jason Holder and Manav Suthar picked up a wicket each.
Earlier, put into bat, Gujarat Titans posted 205 runs for the loss of three wickets, with opener Sai Sudharsan returning to form with a century. For Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Josh Hazlewood and Suyash Sharma took a wicket each. Royal Challengers Bengaluru had won the toss and opted to bowl.
Today, hosts Delhi Capitals will take on Punjab Kings at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. The match will start at 3:30 PM Indian Standard Time. In another match, Hosts Rajasthan Royals will face Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. The match will start at 7:30 PM.
