In IPL Cricket, Kolkata Knight Riders defeated Delhi Capitals by 8 wickets at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi last night. Chasing victory target of 143 runs, Kolkata Knight Riders made 147 for the loss of two wickets in 14.2 overs.
Finn Allen delivered a jaw-dropping batting masterclass to power Kolkata Knight Riders to a commanding eight-wicket victory over Delhi Capitals.
Allen took 47 balls to reach his 100 as he got to his milestone with a big six in an innings studded with 5 fours and 10 maximums. Finn Allen was declared Player of the Match. This is Kolkata Knight Riders’ 4th straight win of the season.
Put into bat, Delhi Capitals scored 142 runs losing 8 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. For Kolkata Knight Riders, Anukul Roy and Kartik Tyagi took two wickets each, while Vaibhav Arora, Sunil Narine and Cameron Green claimed a wicket each. Earlier, Kolkata Knight Riders won the toss and opted to bowl.
The win, KKR’s fourth in a row, catapulted them to seventh place, while the loss, DC’s seventh in 11 games this season, has all but killed their chances of making the playoffs.
Today, the Rajasthan Royals will face Gujarat Titans at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur. The match will start at 7.30 pm.
