Netflix special titled Vir Das: Landing by Indias popular comedian-actor Vir Das has won the International Emmy Awards 2023.

Vir Das won the award in a tie with Derry Girls – Season 3.

Along with Vir, actors Shefali Shah and Jim Sarbh were nominated at the Emmy Awards, which recognises the artistic and technical merit for the American and international television industry.

Vir, 44, has featured in about 35 plays and over 100 stand-up comedy shows and is considered a leading comedian of the Asian country.

His show Two Indias was embroiled in a controversy after the show talked about the duality of two very separate Indias that do different things.
