Must Read

As a demonstration of India’s steadfast commitment to eradicating terrorism, seven multiparty parliamentary delegations are engaged in high-level discussions during their official visits abroad. The all-party delegation led by NCP-SCP MP Supriya Sule interacted with the Peace and Security Council of the African Union at AU Headquarters in Addis Ababa. The delegation exchanged views on ways and means to counter terrorism in all its forms and manifestations. The all-party delegation led by Shiv Sena MP Dr. Shrikant Eknath Shinde successfully concluded its visit to Sierra Leone and is now en route to Liberia. In Sierra Leone, the delegation met with members of the Indian diaspora and reaffirmed India’s collective resolve and unity in the fight against terrorism. Speaking at the event, BJD MP Sasmit Patra, a member of the delegation, strongly condemned Pakistan, stating that it exports terror and shelters dictators and militants.
Meanwhile, Latvia’s State Secretary Andzejs Vilumsons during his meeting with the all party delegation led by DMK MP Kanimozhi expressed Latvia’s unequivocal opposition to terrorism in all its forms. During the day, the delegation participated in a special community event – Sindoor Sammaan – organised by the Indian diaspora in Latvia. The multiparty delegation, led by BJP MP Baijayant Jay Panda, began its engagements in Algeria with a briefing by Ambassador Dr. Swati V. Kulkarni on the cordial and friendly ties between India and Algeria. She outlined Algeria’s stance on the Pahalgam terrorist attack, Operation Sindoor, and broader counter-terrorism efforts. The delegation visited the Church of Notre Dame d’Afrique, where members lit candles in memory of the victims of the Pahalgam attack. They also paid a visit to Maqam Echahid, the National Martyrs Memorial and the National Mujahid Museum in Algeria.
On other hand, the high level delegation led by JD(U) MP Sanjay Kumar Jha arrived in Kuala Lumpur. The delegation was welcomed by the High Commissioner of India to Malaysia BN Reddy. The delegation will meet with Malaysian Ministers, Members of Parliament, representatives of think-tanks, academia, media and Indian community to convey India’s national consensus and collective resolve to combat terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.
