India’s fiscal deficit stood over 8 lakh 25 thousand crore rupees till October of this fiscal year. According to the Ministry of Finance, the Centre has received total receipts of over 18 lakh 400 hundred crore rupees, amounting to 51.5 per cent of the budget estimates for this fiscal. On the expenditure side, the government has spent over 26 lakh, 25 thousand crore rupees representing 51.8 per cent of the total budget estimates for the year.
