India’s cumulative exports  during this July estimated at US$ 80.14 bn, registering 13.3% year-on

The country’s total exports, including merchandise and services are estimated at 80.14 billion US dollars in July this year, registering a robust 13.3 per cent year-on-year growth. According to the provisional data released by the Commerce Ministry, the export performance was led by merchandise shipments, which jumped over 19.6 per cent to 44.24 billion US dollars from a year earlier. The growth in merchandise exports was driven by petroleum products, electronic goods, engineering goods, organic and inorganic chemicals, cotton yarn and handloom products. Country’s merchandise trade deficit widened by 31.5 per cent year-on-year to 15 billion US dollars last month. 
 
Cumulatively, merchandise exports during April to July period of the current financial year are estimated at 173.78 billion US dollars, registering an increase of 17 per cent on an annual basis.
