India’s Avinash Sable set a new national record in the 3000m steeplechase at the Paris Diamond League in France yesterday. The star steeplechase player bettered his own record by more than a second.
Sable finished sixth at the event with a timing of 8:09.91 (8 minutes, 9 seconds, and 91 hundredths of a second). However, the race was won by Abrham Sime of Ethiopia with a personal best of 8:02.36, narrowly edging out Amos Serem of Kenya, who recorded the same time.
