The Indian women’s compound team of Jyothi Surekha Vennam, Prithika Pradeep and Chikitha Taniparthi clinched the silver medal at the Archery World Cup Stage 4 in Madrid, Spain, today.
In the final, the Indian trio went down 228-232 to Colombia. The silver medal opened India’s account in the season-ending tournament, with the contingent aiming to add more medals later in the day.
Teenager Prithika Pradeep has also advanced to the women’s compound individual semifinals and will face Fatin Nurfatehah Mat Salleh of Malaysia in the semifinal later today.
