Indian and Sri Lankan coast guard ships joined the 16th edition of the trilateral Dosti exercise being held in the Maldives from February 22 to 25. This year marks a significant development with Bangladesh participating as an observer, indicating the growing importance of maritime collaboration in tackling evolving challenges.

The biennial event has Indian Coast Guard Ships ICGS Samarth, ICGS Abhinav & the ICG Dornier craft in Male. At the same time SLNS Samudra joined from the Sri Lankan Naval side. Additional Director General of Indian Coast Guard, S Paramesh, is also is in Male for the exercise.

The ICG ships during the visit would participate in a series of activities and take part in a joint sea exercise with Sri Lanka Coast Guard and Maldives National Defence Force.
