In view of the festive season and to facilitate passengers’ travel while managing increased demand, Indian Railways has announced the operation of two reserved festival special trains from Jammu Tawi. Akashvani Jammu Correspondent reports that the Jammu Tawi-Howrah Festival Special Train (04608) will run from Jammu Tawi to Howrah today and on November 4, 2024. Howrah to Jammu Tawi Festival Special Train (04607) will run from Howrah to Jammu Tawi on November 1 and 6, 2024. This train will halt at major stations including Pathankot Cantt, Jalandhar Cantt, Chandigarh, Ambala Cantt, Saharanpur, Lucknow, Varanasi, Gaya, Dhanbad, Asansol, and others.

The second Festival Special Kamakhya-Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Train (04679) will run from Kamakhya to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra on October 31 and November 5, 2024. Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra to Kamakhya Train (04680) will run from Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra to Kamakhya on November 2, 2024. Major stops include Jammu Tawi, Pathankot Cantt, Chandigarh, Gorakhpur, Muzaffarpur, Katihar, and New Jalpaiguri, among others. These special trains aim to ensure smooth travel for passengers during the festive period.
