As part of the Independence Day celebrations, the Indian Navy Band today staged a grand symphonic concert in Puducherry. Fifty musicians from the Eastern Naval Command, led by Commander Satish Champion, presented over 30 compositions, including the National Anthem, Jai Ho, and various patriotic numbers. The musical extravaganza lasted for more than one and a half hours. Lt. Governor K. Kailashnathan, Flag Officer Commanding Tamil Nadu and Puducherry, Rear Admiral Satish Shenoy, and Tourism Minister K. Lakshmi Narayanan were among the dignitaries present. The event drew an enthusiastic audience, including school and college students, ex-servicemen, and members of the public, who thoroughly enjoyed the performance.
