Indian boxers continued their dominance in the girls’ Under-17 category semifinals at the Asian Under-15 and Under-17 Boxing Championships in Tashkent today. In the girls’ Under-17 category, eight boxers advanced to the finals today. However, four Indian boxers had to settle for bronze medals after losing their semifinal bouts today.
The semifinals in the boys’ Under-17 category will be played tomorrow, while the finals in both categories will be held on May 15.
In the boys’ Under-15 category, India’s six boxers have advanced to the finals, while seven others settled for bronze medals yesterday. India’s nine girls also delivered a historic performance by securing their places in the Under-15 finals.
