In archery, India won 10 medals as compound archers dominated with a mixed team gold and a clean sweep of the men’s individual podium at the Asia Cup World Ranking Tournament Stage 1 in Bangkok today. India finished with two gold, four silver and four bronze medals, bettering their overall tally from the previous edition. Uday Kamboj edged Prathamesh Jawkar 145-144 for his maiden international gold as India completed a clean sweep in men’s compound, with Rajat Chauhan taking bronze. Chauhan also paired with Chikitha Taniparthi to clinch mixed team gold, defeating Malaysia 158-156 in a close final. The women’s compound team settled for silver after losing 227-229 to Kazakhstan in the final. In recurve, Ridhi Phor and the men’s team claimed silver medals, with no Indian securing gold in the category.
