In the ICC Women’s ODI Cricket World Cup, India will face South Africa in the summit clash at Dr D.Y. Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai today. The match will begin at 3 PM.
India stormed into the final, defeating Australia by 5 wickets in a thrilling semifinal match in Navi Mumbai on Thursday. South Africa reached the final after a commanding 125-run victory over England in Guwahati in the first semi-final.
Neither team has won an ICC title yet, and the team winning the final will end its title drought. The Indian women’s team came agonisingly close to winning the title in 2017.
However, even that run to the final ended up being a shot in the arm for women’s cricket in India. South Africa will be playing their first-ever ODI World Cup final.
