In the Asian Women’s Handball Championship, hosts India will take on Iran in their second Group B match this evening at New Delhi’s Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium. The match is scheduled to start at 6 PM IST.
In other matches of the day, Hong Kong China will face Japan in a Group B match, while Singapore will take on China, and Kazakhstan will play against the Republic of Korea in Group A matches.
Yesterday, India defeated Hong Kong China 31-28 in their opening Group B match.
India is hosting the handball competition for the first time. Eight teams from the continent are participating in the 20th edition of the tournament. The top four teams from the Championship will qualify for the IHF Women’s Handball World Championship 2025, which will be held in Germany and the Netherlands in November and December next year.
