India storm into the finals of the Women’s Asia Cup by beating Bangladesh by ten wickets in the first semi-final at Dambulla in Sri Lanka. Defending Champions India maintained their dominance as they chased down the target of 81 runs with 54 balls to spare. Earlier, having won the toss, Bangladesh chose to bat first. Indian bowlers led by Renuka Singh and Radha Yadav ensured that the batters could not settle as they took wickets at regular intervals to restrict Bangladesh to 80 for 8 wickets in their allotted 20 overs.

In reply, Indian openers Smriti Mandhana and Shafali Verma did not break a sweat as they comfortably reached 83 runs for no loss in 11 overs. Mandhana scored a brisk 55 off 39 balls while Shafali Verma scored 26 off 28 balls.

In the second Semi-Final, Pakistan take on hosts Sri Lanka later today. Winner of the clash will face defending Champions India on Sunday.
