India registers 2nd consecutive victory at Men’s FIH Hockey Junior World Cup 2025

Must Read

India registered their second consecutive victory at the Men’s FIH Hockey Junior World Cup 2025, delivering a commanding 17-0 triumph over Oman in their Pool B clash at the Mayor Radhakrishnan Hockey Stadium in Chennai, last night. Dilraj Singh led the scoring spree with four goals, while Manmeet Singh and Arshdeep Singh recorded hat-tricks to help India secure their second straight clean sheet.

Ajeet Yadav and Gurjot Singh added two goals each, with Ingalemba Luwang, Anmol Ekka, and Shardanand Tiwari contributing one goal apiece. This emphatic win follows India’s 7-0 victory over Chile in their opening match on Friday. With a tally of 24 goals from two games, India now sit comfortably at the top of Pool B, ahead of Switzerland. The result puts Hosts in a strong position to qualify directly for the quarter-finals as pool winners. They need only to avoid defeat against Switzerland in their final group match tomorrow to secure their place in the last eight.
