Union Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya has said that India has received its first Mondo track on the occasion of National Sports Day. Mr. Mandaviya mentioned that India has become the 25th nation to have a mondo track as earlier only 24 countries in the world had this track. He said that the new track will provide Indian athletes with world-class facilities.
The Minister further stated that with the approval of the Union Cabinet, India has submitted a letter of intent for the Commonwealth Games 2030. He said that the country has also submitted its bid to host the Olympics 2036. He added that to mark the National Sports Day, a 3-day Khel Mahotsav began today across the country, and it aims at making India a sporting nation.
