India reach 368/3 against Afghanistan at stumps on Day One

In the One-off cricket test against Afghanistan, India were 368 for 3 in their first innings at stumps on Day One in New Chandigarh. Centuries from KL Rahul and captain Shubman Gill put hosts in a strong position. Sai Sudharsan also contributed 81 before missing out on a maiden Test hundred, while Rishabh Pant remained unbeaten with a quick half-century. For Afghanistan, Mohammad Saleem claimed two wickets. Whereas Ziaur Rahman took one wicket. Earlier, Indian skipper won the toss and opted to bat first.
For India, all rounder Manav Suthar from Rajasthan is making his debut for the Test side. On the other hand, Afghanistan have also handed a Test debut to spin-bowling all rounder Nangeyalia Kharote.
The One-off test match operates outside the World Test Championship cycle.
