Tripura Agriculture Minister Ratan Lal Nath said India is progressing rapidly under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership as the nation marks 12 years of welfare-oriented governance. Speaking at a public welfare camp in Mohanpur, he highlighted development initiatives, self-reliance programs, women empowerment, and the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.
As the nation celebrates the successful completion of 12 years of public welfare-oriented governance and development under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Tripura Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister Ratan Lal Nath on Tuesday said that India is moving steadily towards greater development through the implementation of various welfare schemes and people-centric initiatives.
The Minister made the remarks while addressing a three-day municipal-level public welfare camp organized by the Mohanpur Municipal Council at its office premises. The camp was organized as part of the nationwide observance marking 12 years of the Narendra Modi-led Central Government and aimed at bringing government services and welfare benefits directly to the people.
Addressing the gathering, Nath stated that under the able leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India has witnessed remarkable progress in various sectors and has emerged as the fourth-largest economy in the world. He emphasized that the Central Government’s commitment to public welfare, inclusive growth, and development has significantly contributed to improving the lives of citizens across the country.
“Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country is moving towards further development through the implementation of various public welfare projects. Following the Prime Minister’s vision and guidance, the state government is also working continuously for the welfare of the people,” the Minister said.
He highlighted that numerous projects and schemes introduced by both the Central and State Governments are being implemented across Tripura to improve the socio-economic condition of the people. According to Nath, sustained efforts are being made to make citizens self-reliant while ensuring that the benefits of development reach every section of society.
The Minister also drew attention to the success of self-help groups in the state. He informed that approximately 56,000 self-help groups are currently functioning across Tripura and have played a vital role in empowering women economically. He further stated that nearly 1.08 lakh women in the state have already achieved the status of “Lakhpati Didis,” reflecting the success of various livelihood and empowerment initiatives.
Nath said that Prime Minister Modi has given special importance to the development of four key sections of society—women, youth, farmers, and the poor. He noted that the Prime Minister has envisioned transforming India into a developed nation by 2047 under the “Viksit Bharat” mission and called upon citizens to actively support and participate in achieving this goal.
Speaking about the public welfare camp, the Minister said that the initiative has been designed to bring various government services, welfare schemes, and development benefits closer to the people. The camp serves as a platform where citizens can access information, resolve grievances, and avail themselves of various government services under one roof.
Several prominent local leaders and public representatives attended the event, including Paschim Tripura Zilla Parishad Acting Sabhadhipati Bishwajit Shil, Mohanpur Panchayat Samiti Chairman Rakesh Deb, West Tripura Zilla Parishad Member Joy Lal Das, and Mohanpur Panchayat Samiti Chairman Sanjib Kumar Das, among others.
