India Lose 2-3 to Australia, Suffer Fifth Straight Defeat in FIH Pro League –

The Indian men’s hockey team suffered a narrow 2-3 defeat to Australia today at Antwerp, Belgium, marking their fifth straight loss in the European leg of the FIH Pro League.
 

India initially looked strong, with forward Abhishek scoring twice to give the Men In Blue a 2-0 lead. However, Australia mounted a determined comeback, holding their nerve and securing the win in a thrilling encounter.
 

Earlier this week, India faced a string of defeats in Europe. On June 7th, the team lost 1-2 to the Netherlands in Amstelveen. A couple of days later, they fell 2-3 to the hosts, the Netherlands, once again.
 

The team’s woes continued when Argentina defeated India 4-3, followed by another 2-1 victory over the Men In Blue at the Wagener Hockey Stadium, further compounding their struggles on the European tour.
