A 21-member Indian squad will compete across five events at the World Athletics Relays 2026 scheduled to start in Gaborone, Botswana, today. The World Athletics Relays Gaborone 26, ends on May 3. A total of six relay events – men’s, women’s and mixed 4x400m and 4x100m – will be contested in Gaborone, which marks the first-ever World Athletics Relays to be held in Africa.
India will field teams in five of the six races, with the women’s 4x400m being the only exception.The top six from the two mixed relays will automatically qualify for the inaugural World Athletics Ultimate Championships in Budapest scheduled later this year.
