India’s archers delivered a stunning performance at the 24th Asian Archery Championships 2025 in Dhaka today, capturing three gold and two silver medals in the compound events, according to updates from the Archery Association of India (AAI) on social media platform X.
 
 
In an all-Indian Compound Women’s Individual Final, Jyothi Surekha Vennam triumphed over Prithika Pradeep in a closely fought contest, winning 147-145 to claim gold, while Prithika secured the silver medal, ensuring a clean sweep for India. The AAI praised both archers for their “brilliant show of focus and composure.”
 
 
Earlier, the Indian Compound Women’s Team-comprising Deepshikha, Jyothi Surekha Vennam, and Prithika Pradeep-clinched team gold after defeating Korea in a thrilling final by 236-234. The victory added another prestigious title to India’s growing medal tally.
 
 
 
India’s winning streak continued as Abhishek Verma and Deepshikha secured the gold medal in the Compound Mixed Team event, overcoming Bangladesh with a 153-151 win in a tense final. Meanwhile, in the Compound Men’s Team event, the Indian trio of Abhishek Verma, Sahil Jadhav, and Prathamesh Fuge earned silver, after finishing second in a hard-fought final.
 
 
With multiple podium finishes across individual, team, and mixed categories, India has reaffirmed its dominance in compound archery at the continental level.
