India Beats the UAE by 9 Wickets

Must Read

In the Asia Cup 2025, India beat the UAE by 9 wickets in the group A match held in Dubai. India and UAE is also the fourth-shortest completed T20I match involving a full-member side.

The entire match lasted just 106 deliveries, falling 13 balls short of the record of 93.  Chasing a modest target of 58, India cruised to victory in just 4.3 overs, losing only one wicket. Abhishek Sharma anchored the innings with a brilliant 30 off 16, while Shubman Gill provided key support with 20 runs, guiding India comfortably past the finish line.

Earlier, opting to bowl first, India dismissed UAE for a paltry 57 runs in just 13.1 overs. Kuldeep Yadav was the star performer with the ball, claiming 4 wickets, including 3 in a single over. All-rounder Shivam Dube also scalped 3 wickets in just 10 deliveries. As a result, Suryakumar Yadav’s men picked up a massive victory in the first match in Group A. Jasprit Bumrah also made an impact, dismissing UAE opener Alishan Sharafu with a toe-crushing delivery that shattered the off-stump, ending a promising start for the UAE.

Today, the match will be played between Bangladesh and Hongkong in group B at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi at 8 PM IST.
