The Fourth Session of the India-Namibia Joint Trade Committee (JTC) concluded in New Delhi today. The session which began yesterday, was led by Joint Secretary, Department of Commerce, Amit Kumar from the Indian side while the Namibian delegation was led by the Namibian Executive Director, Ministry of International Relations and Trade Ndiitah Nghipondoka-Robiati. The agreed minutes of the Session were signed by the two Co-Chairs today.
The Ministry of Commerce and Industry said that during the meeting, both sides underlined the need to move bilateral trade beyond a raw-material-based composition towards value addition within Namibia, and to translate discussions into concrete mechanisms with defined timelines and assigned responsibilities. The Ministry added that the bilateral merchandise trade between India and Namibia rose to over 592 million dollars in 2025-26 from 568 million dollars in 2024-25.
