Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy Pralhad Joshi shared that India has achieved a significant milestone in its clean energy journey, with 45 lakh households now powered by Solar Energy. In a social media post, Mr Joshi noted that this growing movement reflects the rapid adoption of solar power across the country. He said it is transforming homes by converting sunlight into savings, strengthening energy security and supporting a greener, more self-reliant future. The Minister highlighted that under PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, record 3.11 lakh households were benefitted in the last month. He noted that Uttar Pradesh has become the third state after Gujarat and Maharashtra to Surpass 5 lakh solar rooftop installations.
