In Pune Open Tennis, Niki Kaliyanda Poonacha will face the Australian Dane Sweeny in the Men’s singles quarterfinal this evening. He entered the quarter-finals, upsetting his compatriot Sumit Nagal 6-4, 6-3 in the pre-quarters yesterday.
Earlier in the Men’s singles Quarterfinals today, India’s M. Sasikumar faced a defeat against Adam Walton of Australia in a walkover.
In Doubles Semifinals, Indian duo of Ramkuamr Ramanathan and Saketh Myneni will face the Australian pair Tristan Schoolkate and Adam Walton at 3 PM. Later, another Indian pair Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan and Arjun Kadhe will face Dan Added of France and Chung Yun-Seong of South Korea in the Doubles Semifinals.
Ramkumar and Saketh beat the Croatian Duje Ajduković and Italian Enrico Dalla Valle in a tough game by 6-2, 7-6, 10-2, while Jeevan and Arjun defeated the German pair Jakob Schnaitter and Mark Wallner by 6-4, 7-6.
