The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has said that the global economy is projected to grow by 3 per cent this year. In a statement, IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva said the global economy has shown stronger-than-expected resilience despite major shocks such as US President Donald Trump’s tariff measures, but that strength may not last. Georgieva spoke ahead of the IMF and World Bank annual meetings scheduled for next week in Washington, DC.
