IMD Predicts Heavy Rainfall Across Several States; Thunderstorms Likely in Parts of East and North India

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Sub Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar, Himachal Pradesh, Odisha and Uttarakhand tomorrow.
 
Parts of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, East Madhya Pradesh, Kerala, Mahe, Konkan, Goa and north-eastern states are also likely to witness heavy rainfall during the next 2-3 days.
 
The weather department further predicted thunderstorms accompanied by lightning tomorrow in parts of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Jharkhand, Jammu and Kashmir, Bihar and Ladakh. IMD mentioned that strong surface winds are expected to prevail over Andhra Pradesh and Telangana tomorrow.
