IMD predicts heavy rain in Assam, Meghalaya –

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy rainfall at isolated places over Assam and Meghalaya today. The weather agency predicted light to moderate rainfall over Northeast India, Kerala, Mahe, Coastal Karnataka, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, and Sikkim during the next 7 days. The weather agency has estimated similar conditions with thunderstorm, lightning, and gusty winds over Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema, and Interior Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, and Chhattisgarh till tomorrow. The met department said that hot and humid weather conditions are likely to prevail over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal today.
