India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast dense fog conditions in northern parts of West Uttar Pradesh till tomorrow. IMD has also predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala, Mahe and Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The Met department has also forecast heavy rainfall in parts of Lakshadweep tomorrow. The weather agency has said that squally weather conditions is likely to prevail over Andaman Sea, off north Tamil Nadu coast, south and central Bay of Bengal, Gulf of Mannar and adjoining Comorin area tomorrow.
Meanwhile, the air quality in Delhi-NCR continues to be in the very poor category. According to the Central Pollution Control Board, the Air Quality Index (AQI) in Delhi was recorded at 394 as of 8 pm today. In view of the poor air quality, the Commission for Air Quality Management has imposed Stage III of the Graded Response Action Plan in the national capital and adjoining areas.
