IMD Issues Red Alert for Heavy to Very Heavy Rainfall in Isolated Areas of Odisha Today

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red colour warning for heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places over Odisha today. Similar conditions are also expected over parts of Assam, Meghalaya, Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh and West Bengal during the next two days. The weather agency has also predicted heavy rainfall over Arunachal Pradesh, Bihar, Rajasthan, Jharkhand, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura, Saurashtra and Kutch for next two to three days. According to Met department, thunderstorms with lightning conditions are expected over Sub Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal and Vidarbha during next three days.
