The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast extremely heavy rainfall at isolated places over Konkan and Goa during the next two days.
Speaking exclusively to Akashvani News, senior IMD scientist Dr. R K Jenamni said that red alert for heavy rainfall has been issued for Mumbai, Konkan, Goa, South Maharashtra and adjoining Gujarat region today.
He further said that Odisha, Chhattisgarh and Andhra Pradesh are also expected to experience very heavy rainfall today.
