IMD Issues Red Alert for Gujarat, Goa and Coastal Maharashtra; Heavy Rains Forecast Across Multiple States

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert for extremely heavy rainfall over Gujarat, Goa and the coastal areas of Maharashtra for today. The IMD also predicted heavy rainfall over Jammu and Kashmir, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and eastern Rajasthan for the next two to three days.
 
 
 
Similar conditions are expected over Madhya Pradesh, Sikkim, Chhattisgarh and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal during the next seven days. In the southern part of the nation, these conditions will also prevail over the coastal areas of Karnataka and Telangana today. The weather agency has also forecast very light to light rain with thundershowers till tomorrow over Delhi NCR.
