India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast very heavy rainfall over Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh during the next seven days. IMD also issued orange colour warning in these states for today. The weather agency further predicted very heavy rainfall at isolated places over West Bengal and Sikkim today.
While Delhi, Chandigarh, Haryana, Punjab, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Telangana and Andaman and Nicobar Islands are expected to experience heavy rainfall today. IMD also said that thunderstorm accompanied with lightning and gusty winds are expected at various isolated places over Bihar, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh and Jharkhand.
