IMD Forecasts Heavy Rainfall, Lightning and Strong Winds in Keralam Over Next 5 Days

Summer rains intensified across Keralam as the India Meteorological Department forecast isolated heavy rainfall accompanied by lightning and strong winds in various districts of the state over the next five days. The IMD issued a yellow alert in nine districts today, and the alert will remain in force in seven districts tomorrow as well. Fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea along the Kerala and Lakshadweep coasts today due to rough weather conditions. No restriction has been imposed on fishing activities off the Karnataka coast today.
