IMD forecasts heavy rainfall in North East, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttarakhand, Kerala & Goa –

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall over Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura today. Parts of Delhi, Arunachal Pradesh, East Rajasthan, Haryana, Chandigarh, Kerala, Mahe, Konkan, Goa, Punjab, and Uttarakhand are also likely to witness heavy rainfall throughout the day. According to the met department, a thundersquall with wind speeds reaching up to 50 to 60 kilometres per hour is expected in Delhi, Punjab, Rajasthan, Haryana, Chandigarh, Uttar Pradesh, and West Madhya Pradesh today. IMD further predicted hot and humid weather conditions over Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal till tomorrow. Parts of Rajasthan are expected to experience a dust storm today.
