IMD Forecasts Heavy Rainfall Across Multiple States, Alerts for North India

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall to continue over Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh during next 3 days. The same rainfall has been estimated for Tamil Nadu and Kerala during next 5 days with isolated extremely heavy falls over Kerala till tomorrow.
 
IMD said that heavy rainfall is likely over Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Mahe, Karnataka, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Telangana, Rayalaseema till Friday. The weather agency said that strong surface winds are very likely over South Peninsular India during the next 2 days.
 
IMD predicted heavy rainfall will continue over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura during the week.
